My Journey

I get it because I’ve been where you are. I understand the drive for success, the internal pressure for perfection, the repeated self-abandonment of your needs for others, and the brutality of burnout. Because I’m a recovering Perfectionist, a recovering People-pleaser, and I had 3 Burnouts before 40. I know how debilitating and frustrating it is, but I also know how to break free.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is like an operating system upgrade for your brain – it rewires the way you think, react and cope. What I love about CBT Therapy it is it encompasses lots of common sense and explanations for our emotions that we can all understand and connect to.

What CBT can do for you:

Private CBT Sessions mainly focus on the here & now and how to move forwards, but it’s also important to look to the past to get to the root of the problem and make sense of our triggers to enable a better response to them in the future.

At Hannah Paskin Therapy, I will create a tailored treatment plan, selecting the most effective strategies for you and your symptoms.

The fun bits (Because therapists are people too)

Just like my (very spoilt) cat Coco, I’m a massive sun worshipper & have never been on a cold/snow holiday. Music and Theatre are huge parts of my life outside of work and my happy place is in the audience of a gig/show! I’m super allergic to nature but do love to garden & watch things grow (although I’m quite skilled at killing things too). Bumble bees are my favourite garden creature, their fluffy bums and helpful nature is adorable. Like everyone else, I’m a flawed human, and still figuring some bits out. I’m a proper night owl, and my first decision when I started my business was never to work before 10am, ha ha.
