What is Stress?

Some low level of stress is normal for all of us from time to time. When your brain thinks there’s a challenge to deal with, it gets you pumped up to deal with it, flooding you with adrenaline. Which is fine if you’re about to do a big presentation, but otherwise it’s just putting you on edge for no reason. This type of disproportionate stress is frustrating, exhausting and just gets in the way.

Stress is a very physical emotional health problem. The list of symptoms that come with excessive stress is never-ending. The longer you ignore the stress and keep pushing on, generally the more symptoms you’ll suffer. Most people only seek out a stress therapist when the physical symptoms become too problematic to ignore.
