Hannah Paskin

I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with a full-time Private Therapy Practice offering Psychotherapy sessions in Middlewich, Cheshire, alongside online therapy.

My clients come to me because I offer a combination of straight-talking, compassion, encouragement, and patience. I genuinely care about my clients, and the suffering they are experiencing and work hard to help them achieve recovery as soon as possible.

At Hannah Paskin Therapy I will help you to get answers, to understand what the problem is and why, and to learn effective strategies for overcoming the problem and the impact it is having on your quality of life.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy encompasses a large range of strategies that examine and challenge your thoughts (cognitions) and actions (behaviours).

Cognitive Therapy techniques target overthinking, worry, negative self beliefs, and other unhelpful messages we tell ourselves. Behavioural Therapy techniques target the unhelpful ways we respond to our emotions such as avoidance or overcompensating, as well as addressing self-destructive patterns.

CBT Therapy focuses mainly on the here and now and looks at how you can move forward proactively. There will be times when it’s appropriate to look into the past, but mainly to help you to understand the context of why you think and act as you do now, and therefore better respond to triggers in future.

At Hannah Paskin Therapy, I will create a tailored treatment plan just for you, selecting the strategies that are most effective for you and your symptoms.

At Hannah Paskin Therapy, I will explain things in a way that you can connect with and remember. During my sessions I use a lot of analogies; my clients have found that these are powerful in enabling them to see things clearly and are also easily memorable. I believe my role as a therapist is to help you get answers and help you to gain the knowledge and skills that mean that you are equipped to manage your emotional wellbeing yourself, giving you the control back.

I believe that my role is to help you find a new way forward, with compassion and care for each of my clients; I also value straight-talking and honesty. If there’s something important that you aren’t figuring out for yourself, I will share this with you.

Therapy is hard work, of course, but a lot of my clients tell me how they look forward to and enjoy therapy sessions, which is something I am immensely proud of.
